Blackbraid quickly followed up their 2022 debut in 2023 with more native folk infused furious black metal. This is by no means a sophomore slump as it is equally excellent, methodical, melodical, and approachable as the first record. 9/10

TJAKTJADÁLVVE play mainly calm, ultra-atmospheric black metal. A dynamic groove, sometimes sharp guitars and harsh vocals build the heavy foundation. Clean vocals and spherical sounds add melancholic layers. Similar to Coldworld that results in a touching, soulful listening experience. Most important is, that the epic songs are so interestingly arranged and varied that they do not become boring as it is so often the case with ambient black metal. All four main tracks are emotional masterpieces!
